O Christmas Tree )O Tannenbaum) is a 16th-century Silesian folk song by Melchior Franck, that was adapted into a German Christmas carol in 1824. It has a simple melody that sounds great when dressed up with moving lines and variations throughout the parts. As with all of our string trio arrangements, the middle part is included in both treble and alto clef, giving you the option of performing the piece with either two violins and cello, or violin, viola and cello.
